Stord Keeb Studios Custom Mechanical Keyboards

Why Stord Keeb Studios exists

The custom keyboard space is full of FOMO, limited drops and endless RGB. This studio is the opposite of that. It is built around quiet boards, natural materials and repeatable, transparent work.

I don’t want you to chase the next trend. I want you to have one or two boards you actually use every day — on your desk, at work, in your studio. Boards that feel like an extension of how you think and work.

No dropshipping

Every board is assembled, tuned and tested by me on Stord.

Repair over replacement

If something rattles, breaks or feels off, we fix it. You don’t throw it away.

Honest expectations

No magic “endgame” promises. Just clear communication about what is possible with your budget and preferences.

How I work with clients

Every project starts with a conversation – not a shopping cart. I want to understand:

  • Where you will use the board (office, home, studio, gaming)
  • What you care about most (sound, feel, aesthetics, portability)
  • Your existing gear and how this board should fit into it

From there, we define a build that makes sense. I document the process, share sound tests where possible, and keep the amount of “mystery magic” as low as possible.

Principles during a build

  • No unnecessary parts – only what actually improves your experience.
  • Preference for proven parts over hype products.
  • Balanced tuning: deep, clean sound without killing all character.
  • Respect for your time and money – clear timelines and pricing.

What I love to do

  • Daily driver boards for writers, developers and creatives
  • Subtle, grown-up aesthetics (wood, dark tones, metal, clean lines)
  • Sound-focused builds (thock, clack, but always controlled)
  • Helping beginners choose parts that make sense long-term

What I don’t do

  • Mass-produced, anonymous “customs”
  • Race-to-the-bottom budget builds with questionable QC
  • Maximum-RGB, rainbow-by-default “gamer” look
  • Artificial scarcity or pressure (“only today”, “last chance”)

Is Stord Keeb Studios for you?

If you want a keyboard that feels like yours — not just another item from a big box store — we will get along very well. You don’t need to know every switch or plate material. You just need to care about how it feels to type and how it looks on your desk.

If that resonates with you, start on the Services page and see what kind of projects I take on. From there, we can decide together what makes sense as a next step.
